Suction and Delivery-Suction Fire Hoses
Suction and delivery-suction hoses are used at fire facilities to draw water from a container or water source using a pump or motorized pump. The diameter of the hose is selected depending on the productive capacity of the equipment. Suction hoses are used with diameters of 25, 65, 75, 100, 125 and 150 mm and lengths of 2 and 4 m.
- Suction hoses are used for discharging/intake of water from open sources.
- Delivery-suction hoses can also be used as suction hoses and for operation under pressure from a water source, such as a hydrant.
Areas of application:
- Firefighting, due to its increased flexibility and strength
- Elimination of floods
- Gasoline, fuel or oil supply under pressure.
Working pressure – 0.3-1.0 (3-10 atm)
Operating vacuum – 0.08 (0.8 atm).
