The helmet is designed to protect firefighters and rescuers from strikes, radiant energy, and water during rescue operations and firefighting. The helmet is designed in such a way as not to interfere with the wearing of a full-face mask and ensures its use with all types of special protective clothing for firefighters, including heat-protective firefighting clothing and heat-reflective suits. The materials used in the production of the helmet are non-toxic, and the parts in direct contact with the head skin do not cause pathological changes and are resistant to disinfectants.
The shell of the Calisia Vulcan type CV 102 helmet is made of plastic with flame retardant properties, with high resistance to thermal and mechanical impact, which gives the helmet very high-reliability parameters. After exposure to an open flame, the burning time of the shell is no more than 5 seconds and the helmet shell material does not drip off. The helmet also protects against various chemicals. The helmet shell does not deform under the influence of water, and there are no sparks when it hits metal objects. The helmet does not limit hearing during use.
The Calisia Vulcan type CV 102 helmet consists of a shell, an energy-absorbing and retention system, face protection, and a waterproof cape. The internal equipment of the helmet is designed to maximize wearing comfort and increase helmet efficiency.
The helmet is equipped with two face protectors: a face shield and goggles made from scratch, chemical, and fire-resistant plastic that meets the requirements of NSU EN 14458. The face shield is covered with a fine metalized coating that protects against infrared radiation. The design of the face shield prevents its accidental detachment from the helmet shell and makes it possible to adjust the position with one hand while wearing a helmet. The face shield in the lowered position fully protects the face of the firefighter or rescuer and provides good visibility.
The fitting of the Calisia Vulcan type CV 102 helmet is provided by a system of straps that allow you to adjust the size up to 64 cm, which enables you to properly position the helmet on your head and reduces the load on your head.
The pelerine can be made of fabric with fire-resistant properties, leather, or metalized fabric.
The interior of the helmet is made of haberdashery leather, and comfort is enhanced by a Nomex lining, along with a leather cushion that protects the back of the head from abrasions and pressure.
The helmet shell, face shield, goggles, chin strap, and pelerine do not lose shape, color, or size when exposed to 200°C for 180 seconds.
The energy-absorbing system of the Calisia Vulcan type CV 102 helmet is designed to provide resistance to vertical strikes with an energy of 80 joules; after the impact, the integrity of the internal equipment is preserved, with no cracks or dents forming on the shell surface. The reliability of this fastening system prevents its spontaneous or accidental detachment from the shell.
The chin strap is connected to the helmet shell in a way that ensures the most comfortable positioning under the chin when used by a firefighter or rescuer. The design of the strap allows you to adjust it with one hand while wearing a helmet.
After being exposed to radiation heat with an intensity of 7 kW*m2, the helmet does not melt and no material drops appear.
Metal parts of the helmet are resistant to corrosion.
The weight of the helmet without additional equipment is 1,565 ± 30 g.
